When I came back they want me to queue up again and when I explained why I wasn’t in the queue I was told that it doesn’t work like that. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, maybe the staff was a bit stressed because it was busy, but I think be nice and polite with customers and people in general doesn’t cost anything.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The whole place is steeped in history.
It’s not a fancy restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, but for good value honest to god good old fashioned food, this is the place to visit.MnMCollins3792

the gentleman and the lady behind the counter were really friendly. i asked for eel, mashed and pie. The young lady asked me if i ever had eels (probably because of the bones), and when i asked for gravy, she said : no no darling, you want liquor with your eels!

anyway, will go there again whenever i visit london next time.flyingvigil
