I really liked having breakfast here, it's an area of London I had not yet visited, but from what I gathered, this place had history and Gave me a good feel of Greenwich. The food was traditional and wholesome, and yet didn't take a big bite out of the wallet either; good food for cheap. If you like pie, give this spot a try.
Good old fashioned pie and mash at good old fashioned prices. Staff really nice. What’s not too like! Good cuppa Rosie Lee as well.

Their quality has been so consistent over the years that it has continuously led me to bring various friends and family members over to enjoy their food. Their classic minced beef pie is my favourite but they do have two vegetarian options as well. For dessert, I tried their apple crumble which came in a huge portion and was very delicious.
Have family visiting from America who wanted to try "English food". We happened to be in Greenwich and used Google maps to find this restaurant. Excellent decision! They actually had a table to seat all 10 of us. The service was so fast and the portions large! I had the Steak and Ale pie and loved it!

I watched a London food review on YouTube a few weeks ago that mentioned Goddard’s so when I was in Greenwich, I had to give it a try. My wife and I were not disappointed. Kate had the lamb n mash with a beer and I had the beef n mash. The gravy was superb. What a shame I’m flying out of England tomorrow… otherwise I would be back for the peppered steak pie.
Possibly the best pie and mash in London. Pies are home made and portions are generous. Best pies for me were the chicken & mushroom and the steak & ale pie, served with your choice of potato mash, mushy peas, baked beans and liquor or gravy. Prices are reasonable and service is good. Great authentic old school vibes.
Great place to eat ..

Love this place. Delicious pies mash and crumbles. Astonishing value. Friendly and efficient staff. Best cup of tea in London, for a quid. Worth the trip to Greenwich on its own.
Had hot reels alongside the usual and it was just what the doctor ordered. Been a while which made it even better.
